CRES and WGST are teaming to host a special event to honor Black History Month and Women’s History Month. Dr. Gloria House (aka Aneb Kgositsile) is a veteran of the Civil Rights Movement who organized for voting rights in Selma and other parts of Alabama as a member of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee. This experience in the movement provided a foundation for a career in higher education, poetry, and community organizing based in Detroit. In 2019, Dr. House received the prestigious Eminent Artist award from the Kresge Foundation.
